What Information Does TDS Collect?
TDS collects the customer’s phone number, fax number, mailing address, e-mail address and any other information that a client knowingly and willingly provides.
How Does TDS Use This Information?
The information we collect is used internally to improve TDS products and services, to market these products and services, to verify cumulative demographic statistics and to conduct research surveys.
Does TDS Disclose Customer Information to Third Parties?
TDS may disclose certain customer information to third parties under the circumstances described below:
Private information: TDS does not share customer e-mail addresses or fax numbers, except in the following cases: (1) TDS affiliates providing products or services to our customer. Unless otherwise stated, these companies do not have any right to use any of the information provided to them beyond what is necessary to assist TDS. (2) The customer consents to such disclosure. Personal information: A customer’s IP address, name, mailing address, telephone number and any optional information they provide (such as job title or other demographics), is considered to be information generally available to others. TDS may provide this information to business partners and select third parties only when it is necessary to do so to assist the client with products or services. As with private information, personal information may be disclosed if disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process; (2) protect and defend TDS’ rights and property; (3) protect TDS’ employees, subscribers or registrants from misuse or unauthorized use of TDS-phone.com; or (4) protect the personal safety or property of employees, subscribers, registrants or the public.
